Educational ResourcesThe national website for UNA-USA has a wide variety of educational resources for you, as an educator, to use. For a useful overview of the wide variety of educational resources that UNA-USA offers, check out the website below:
The Global Classrooms program offers four different curricular units: Peacekeeping, Human Rights, Sustainable Development, and The Economics of Globalization. These programs have been developed by both the Global Classrooms staff as well as outside experts, and include step-by-step lesson plans. These lessons begin with an introduction to the United Nations and culminate in a simulation of the UN Security Council, the Commission on Sustainable Development, or the Commission on Human Rights. The lessons work hand-in-glove with other parts of your school's curriculum, such as social studies, English, Geography, and Civics and Government. To find out more, click here:
The UNA-USA national website also provides links to other useful educational resources - some of which have been developed by other UNA-USA chapters like our own. Check them out! There are loads of great ideas here.
